OCT 2 41979_ BOOK p FnE 760 <br />RESOLUTION 79- 108 <br />WHEREAS, the INDIAN RIVER CITRUS LEAGUE has requested <br />that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County., <br />Florida endorse and support the following proposal: <br />That the Department of Transportation erect signs <br />on all paved roads that cross boundaries of the <br />Indian River Citrus Area. The signs shall be -in <br />the traditional fashion and shall read as follows: <br />WELCOME, YOU ARE ENTERING THE "INDIAN RIVER" <br />CITRUS AREA <br />On the opposite side of the road the sign shall <br />read: <br />_ YOU ARE NOW LEAVING THE "INDIAN RIVER" CITRUS <br />AREA <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners agrees that <br />said signs would serve to enhance and protect the name of the <br />citrus grown in the Indian River Area and also define the <br />area to the many people that are not familiar with it; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That the Board <br />endorses and supports the foregoing proposal. <br />Said Resolution shall become effective as of the 24th <br />day of October , 1979. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMt2ISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN <br />/RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By <br />William C.
