Box 529100 <br />Miami, Florida 33152 <br />Boos 41 FA-UE776 <br />0 <br />VAI ATKA, FLU(; DA'4:'0 r <br />TELF025.%3o <br />RE: FP&L Martin/Midway 500 KU Transmission Line <br />Dear Tom: <br />As per our recent conversation and conversations held betti•:een June Small <br />and, Dennis Auth , I am submitting staff comments regarding the Marti n/Midway <br />Transmission Line realignment in Indian River County. <br />The easterly extension of said line,as we understand it, would be ad- <br />jacent to and closely follow the northern ROW of the Flor da Turnpi!- for <br />a distance of approximately 1.5 miles east from the current proposed inter- <br />section with the turnpike,before proceeding southward into St. Lucie County. <br />If this assessment is correct the extension would not traverse currently <br />owned or controlled District property. Additionally, from the information <br />available to us at this time it appears that the propose realignment would <br />not impact or be impacted by project works or activities associated with the <br />Upper St. Johns River Surface Water Management Project. The staff,therefore, <br />can find no objections to the proposed realignment from the District's perspective. <br />If you have any further questions, please contact me. <br />EOM:djm <br />R.
