13.B. VICE CHAIRMAN ARTHUR R. NEUBERGER – TREASURE <br />COAST BAPTIST ASSOCIATION WORLD CHANGERS <br />Commissioner Neuberger stated he had received a telephone call from Roger Ball, <br />Pastor at Immanuel Church, telling him about World Changers and he introduced Harvey Webb of <br />the Treasure Coast Baptist Association, to make a presentation. <br /> <br />Harvey Webb <br />, 137 Milton Avenue, and Director of the Treasure Coast Baptist <br />Association, showed a video explaining who they are and how they work with municipalities. <br /> <br />Peggy Colbert <br />of the National Agency of World Changers handed out a World <br />Changers brochure and gave a brief outline of the functions of the organization. She asked the <br />County to partner with them in helping determine what schools or local churches would be able to <br />house the high school and college students for one week in June or July of 2005. <br /> <br />Ken Crosby <br /> one of the World Changers Coordinators works locally to support <br />World Changers and does the ministry in the communities. He coordinates with schools for <br />cafeteria services for the week and gets people involved. <br /> <br />Joel Travis <br />, Construction Coordinator, evaluates homes that could be repaired by <br />World Changers. They do have funds and commitments to paint up to 40 homes. They will give <br />free labor and need support to contact people that will help them. <br /> <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Neuberger, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lowther, by a 4-0 <br />vote, Commissioner Adams was absent, to give <br />assistance to World Changers. <br /> <br />APRIL 6, 2004 <br />32 <br /> <br /> <br />
