DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ABOUT THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM, LOT <br />SIZES, AND WHETHER ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THAT AREA WOULD CREATE <br />A PROBLEM. <br />ADMINISTRATOR KENNINGS COMMENTED THAT THIS SUBDIVISION <br />IS NOT IN A PARTICULARLY LOW AREA. <br />ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR NELSON DID NOT FEEL THAT OPENING <br />THE ROADS WOULD HARM THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ARRIVED AT THE MEETING AT 9:30 A.M. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT FELT THE BOARD SHOULD ESTABLISH A <br />POLICY FOR OPENING UP ROADS FOR SUBDIVISIONS THAT HAVE BEEN ON RECORD <br />FOR MANY YEARS. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS WITHDREW HIS MOTION AND COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON WITHDREW HIS SECOND. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON, TO HAVE THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT COME UP WITH <br />ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR OPENING ROADS IN OLD RECORDED SUBDIVISIONS <br />WHOSE ROADS HAVE NEVER BEEN OPENED. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY FELT THE BOARD MUST SET SOME GUIDELINES <br />SO THAT THIS WILL BE HANDLED IN A PROPER MANNER. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT FELT THAT THE FOLLOWING SHOULD BE <br />ADDRESSED: THE DRAINAGE SITUATIONS, LOT SIZES, WHAT SURFACE THE ROAD <br />SHOULD HAVE, AND SHOULD THE ROADS BE CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH OR JUST <br />MAKE HALF ROADS. <br />VICE CHAIRMAN Loy CALLED FOR THE QUESTION AND IT PASSED <br />UNANIMOUSLY. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE THEN PRESIDED AT THE MEETING. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS THEN REQUESTED <br />PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE TO SELL COUNTY PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE <br />VICINITY OF FLAMINGO DRIVE AND CYPRESS ROAD. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO ADVERTISE TO SELL <br />COUNTY PROPERTY KNOWN AS A PORTION OF LOT 131 BLOCK 10, VERO BEACH <br />ESTATES SUBDIVISION. <br />NOV 71979 15 BOOK 4 ^4 PAGE 1 <br />
