FOR $8,638.79. <br />ON P"LOTION BY COMMIS.S;IONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER LYONS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE RECOMMENDATION <br />OF THE BID COMMITTEE FOR BID 34. <br />ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR NELSON EXPLAINED THAT THEIR <br />SPECIFICATIONS DID NOT INCLUDE A SPECIAL TYPE HITCH THAT IS REQUIRED, <br />THEREFORE, THE BID COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED BID 35 BE CANCELLED AND <br />ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR NELSON ADVISED THAT THE BID <br />COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED BID 36 FOR A 15' BATWING MOWER BE -AWARDED TO <br />SUNRISE FORD TRACTOR CO., FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$4,866. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER LYONS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE RECOMMENDATION <br />OF THE BID COMMITTEE FOR BID 36. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT REQUESTED THAT ADMINISTRATOR <br />JENNINGS ADVISE THE BOARD OF HIS CONVERSATION WITH THE DOT <br />REGARDING THE BARBER BRIDGE. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS STATED THAT MR. A. VAILLANCOURT, <br />OF THE DOT OFFICE IN FORT LAUDERDALE, ADVISED HIM THAT THE BARBER <br />BRIDGE IS TO HAVE AN ANALYSIS AND INSPECTION MADE AS PART OF ITS <br />MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, AND WITHIN THREE WEEKS THEY SHOULD KNOW THE <br />RESULTS. HE CONTINUED THAT THE COUNTY WILL BE GIVEN ALL THE LEAD <br />TIME POSSIBLE REGARDING MINOR OR MAJOR SHUTDOWNS; MAJOR REPAIRS <br />WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL AFTER EASTER,.IF POSSIBLE, WITH A MINIMUM <br />AMOUNT OF DOWN TIME. THE ADMINISTRATOR WAS INFORMED BY MR. <br />VAILLANCOURT THAT THERE WAS NO IMMEDIATE PLAN FOR A SHUTDOWN AFTER <br />THE NEW BRIDGE IS OPENED. <br />
