THIS IS A NEW TAX <br />WHICH THEY PAY TWICE A YEAR. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED IF THEY PAY A FRANCHISE FEE IN <br />BREVARD COUNTY, AND MR.-HAIMOWITZ STATED THAT THEY PAY 3% OF THEIR <br />GROSS IN THAT COUNTY. THEY DO NOT PAY ANY FRANCHISE FEE TO SEBASTIAN. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON ASKED WHEN THEIR RATE INCREASE WAS <br />APPROVED BY BREVARD COUNTY AND THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN. <br />MR. HAIMOWITZ STATED THAT THEY WERE APPROVED IN SEPTEMBER, <br />AND HE IS ASKING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FOR EXACTLY THE SAME INCREASE. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ASKED FOR A BREAKDOWN OF THE NUMBER OF <br />CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL LIMITS OF SEBASTIAN, AND MR, HAIMOWITZ <br />STATED THAT THERE ARE ABOUT 700-800, WITH 500 OR 600 IN MICCO AND <br />LITTLE HOLLYWOOD, AND THE REMAINDER IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, OR ABOUT <br />1600-1700 DURING THE PEAK SEASON. THEY HAVE ABOUT 3,200 COMMITTED <br />SUBSCRIBERS, BUT LOSE BETWEEN 900-1,000 FOR FIVE OR SIX MONTHS OF <br />EACH YEAR DURING THE SUMMER SEASON. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF ANYONE PRESENT WISHED TO BE HEARD. <br />DONALD MILES, RESIDENT OF SHADY REST MOBILE HOME PARK, <br />PRESENTED THE BOARD WITH PETITIONS SIGNED BY MEMBERS OF THE SHADY <br />REST MOBILE HOME PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION PROTESTING ANY INCREASE <br />OF RATES FOR INDIAN RIVER CABLEVISION. MR.
