5.B. PROCLAMATION – DESIGNATING THE WEEK OF MAY 2-6, <br />2005 AS LAW WEEK <br />Chairman Lowther read the proclamation and presented it to Pete Sweeney, <br />accompanied by Paige Colton, who accepted on behalf of the local Bar members and their roles in <br />community service. <br /> <br />5.C. PRESENTATION BY LEISURE SERVICES (SANDRIDGE <br />GOLF CLUB) <br />Bob Komarinetz, Director of Sandridge Golf Club, and Golf Operator Bela Nagy <br />gave a PowerPoint presentation advising of the facility, amenities, events, and future events. They <br />work at bringing young people into the sport through activities. Many of the regular golfers did <br />not come down this year. It has been a challenging year because of lack of customers due to the <br />impact of the hurricanes. About 80% of the hurricane cleanup has been completed. <br />Chairman Lowther credited these employees for doing a tremendous job. <br /> <br /> <br />6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – MARCH 15, 2005 <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of March 15, 2005. There were none. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 15, 2005, as <br />written and distributed. <br />May 3, 2005 3 <br /> <br />
