Clark Gerstner, <br /> who is currently building Pineapple Cay, specified that <br />“affordable housing” would not happen with these impact fees. He asked that they consider the <br />time of payment to coincide with the Certificate of Occupancy. <br /> <br />The Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wheeler commented that he supported the impact fees. <br /> <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Neuberger, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wheeler, to move forward <br />with the adoption of the impact fee ordinance and the May <br />th <br />17 final adoption hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Davis spoke in favor of the motion saying that it will not control <br />growth, but attempts to preserve the quality of life we have here in Indian River County. <br /> <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried unanimously.
