TDC(TDC)2004/2005B <br />OURIST EVELOPMENT OUNCIL UDGET <br />R <br />ECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />(CLERK’S NOTE: This item was heard prior to 7.A. and is placed here for continuity.) <br /> <br />Commissioner Macht mentioned that Mark Brackett proposed to develop a multi-use <br />theatre in the old Theatre Plaza and he asked the Board to keep this in mind for fund approval <br />from the TDC. <br /> <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Neuberger, to approve <br />staff’s recommendation. <br /> <br />Discussion continued. <br />Commissioner Neuberger agreed with Commissioner Macht. <br />Chairman Ginn concurred. <br />Administrator Baird said TDC funds could be used for non-profit not private business. <br />Commissioner Macht said they could participate in the fundraising. <br />County Attorney Will Collins explained tourist dollars could be used for Capital <br />Improvement if it is owned and operated by a non-profit, but it cannot be used for Capital <br />Improvement when it is owned and operated by a private individual. <br /> <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />motion carried unanimously.
