CHAIRMAN SLEBERT THEN DISCUSSED THE PROPOSED STREET AND -HOUSE <br />NUMBER CHANGES IN SUMMERPLACE SUBDIVISION, AND READ THE FOLLOWING <br />PETITION SIGNED BY THE HOMEOWNERS IN SUMMERPLACE: <br />Page I of 2 pages <br />2105 Pebble Path, East <br />Summerplace <br />Vero Beach, Fla. 32960 <br />November 20, 1979 <br />To the county commisioners, care o Mr. Jennings: <br />With respect, the following people wish to show their protest to the announceiment that <br />house numbers in Summerplace are to be changed. This decision by you will cause a <br />considerable loss of money as well as a great amount of inconvenience to us since many <br />of our business and personal correspondents have just made the changes that were forced <br />upon us by the post office. <br />This change is hard to understand since the house numbers were given out by the county <br />office. Some of us questioned the numbers at that time and were told that this was the <br />way it was going to be. Most of us have had checks and stationery printed, as well as <br />buying costly signs for our houses and mail boxes. These will become obsolete if you <br />make this change. We heartily disapprove of this action. <br />Furthermore, we see no reason for it since Summerplace is a very small area and we cannot <br />see how confusion would develop.
