THE ADMINISTRATOR ADVISED THAT IF THE COUNTY WANTS TO <br />CONTINUE WITH THE STORM GROVE ROAD CROSSING, THE COUNTY IS GOING TO <br />HAVE TO STAND THE EXPENSE OF $40,000. ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS <br />SUGGESTED GOING OVER THE MATTER WITH THE ATTORNEY AND WITH MR. <br />DUBOIS OF THE DOT TO SEE WHETHER THE COUNTY SHOULD ASSUME THE <br />RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT CROSSING. HE CONTINUED THAT IF THE STATE <br />DOES AWAY WITH IT, THEN IT BECOMES MORE OF A PROBLEM TO GET ANOTHER <br />CROSSING GRANTED, HE ADVISED THAT THE HOBART ROAD CROSSING IS IN <br />THE SAME CATEGORY AND SUGGESTED THAT WE GO AHEAD WITH THAT PROJECT. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT WE OUGHT TO CONTACT THE PEOPLE IN <br />THE AREA THAT WOULD BE AFFECTED BY THE CROSSING. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy SUGGESTED AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR <br />AND THE ATTORNEY TO CONTACT THE DEVELOPER ON STORM GROVE ROAD AND <br />OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES, EXPLAIN THE SITUATION WE ARE IN, AND <br />AUTHORIZE THE ADMINISTRATOR TO RESPOND TO THE DOT ADVISING THAT <br />THE COUNTY WILL DO THE HOBART ROAD CROSSING. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ABOUT UPIGRADING THE CROSSINGS IN ORDER <br />TO MAKE THE ROAD QUALIFY fOR STATE FUNDING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS AND <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS TO SPEAK WITH THE DEVELOPER ON STORM GROVE ROAD, <br />AND AUTHORIZED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO CONTINUE NEGOTIATIONS REGARDING <br />THE HOBART ROAD CROSSING. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS NEXT DISCUSSED THE NINETY-NINE YEARIEASE WITH <br />ST. FRANCIS MANOR, AND ADVISED THE BOARD THAT HE HAS RECEIVED A <br />LETTER FROM ATTORNEY .JAMES T. VOCELLE REGARDING A NEW LEGAL DESCRIPTION, <br />A PROPOSED RESOLUTION AND A PROPOSED AMENDMENT AND MODIFICATION OF <br />THE NINETY-NINE YEAR LEASE. HE CONTINUED THAT HE WOULD RELY ON <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THE LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS ARE <br />CORRECT, AND WHETHER HE RECOMMENDS THE LAND BE GRANTED FOR <br />THE PURPOSE SET OUT IN THE LEASE. THE ATTORNEY NOTED THAT STATUTE <br />MAKES IT MANDATORY THAT YOU PUBLISH FOR THE SALE OF PROPERTY)IBUT IT <br />DOES NOT MAKE IT CLEAR WHETHER OR NOT TO ADVERTISE FOR THE LEASING <br />OF PROPERTY.
