<br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS EXPLAINED THE
<br />CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE HILLCREST SUBDIVISION PROPERTY. HE
<br />STATED THAT MR. STREETER BOUGHT THE PROPERTY FROM MR. HOPWOOD SEVERAL
<br />YEARS AGO AND, IN TURN, MR. HOPWOOD DID NOT PAY THE TAXES, AND THE
<br />COUNTY FORECLOSED. MR. THOMAS STATED THAT MR. HOPWOOD CONTINUED TO
<br />ACCEPT MONEY FROM MR. STREETER, THEN GAVE HIM -A DEED FOR THE PROPERTY
<br />NOW OWNED BY THE COUNTY, MR. THOMAS CONTINUED THAT IN CHECKING THE
<br />TAXES FOR THE PROPERTY, WHICH WERE $IS A YEAR, THE TOTAL TAX BILL
<br />WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER $300.
