<br />1. Sealed proposals for the construction of
<br />either or both of the above listed projects will
<br />be received by the Board -of County Com-
<br />missioners of Indian River County, Florida, at
<br />the office of the Board, 2145 14th Avenue, Vero
<br />Beach, Florida 32960, until 3:00 p.m., local
<br />time, February 20, 1980, at* which time they
<br />will be publicly opened by the Owner's
<br />representative and read aloud. Proposals
<br />received after the above time anddate will be
<br />returned unopened.
<br />2. Plans, specifications; and *contract
<br />documents will be open to public inspection on
<br />or after December 17, 1979, at the office of the
<br />Board of County .Commissioners, and may be
<br />examined and obtained at the office of Connell,
<br />Metcalf & Eddy, Inc., Architects -Engineers -
<br />Planners, 1320 S. Dixie Highway, Coral
<br />Gables, Florida, or by written application to
<br />the Architects -Engineers -Planners at P.O.
<br />Box 341939, Coral Gables, Florida 33134.
<br />3. Plans and specifications will be furnished
<br />without charge- to approved organized plan
<br />rooms for public inspection. -
<br />4. No more than two complete sets of plans
<br />and specifications of each project will be made
<br />available to General Contractors desiring to
<br />bid the project, by payment of a deposit of
<br />8100.00 per complete set for each project. If
<br />requested by return mailing, the documents
<br />will be sent by C.O.D. to cover postage and
<br />shipping charges.
<br />S. All additional sets of plans and
<br />specifications requested by Contractors or
<br />Subcontractors shall be purchased for the
<br />above listed payment amount per set for each
<br />project, which amount is non-refundable.
<br />Partial.sefs will not be issued.
<br />6. Payment in cash or check must ac-
<br />company allrequests for plans or
<br />specifications. Checks shall be made payable
<br />to Connell, Metcalf & Eddy.
<br />7. Deposits will be fully refunded only to
<br />each bidder who submits a bona fide bid,
<br />provided the plans and specifications are
<br />.returned in a clean condition within 10 days
<br />after the bid, opening date.'
<br />8. Bidders retaining plans beyond 10 days
<br />after plan recall date will forfeit the entire
<br />deposit.
<br />9. Bidders must comply with the
<br />requirements of the. Instructions to Bidders.
<br />10. Each bid must be accompanied by an
<br />i acceptable bid bond, or certified or cashier's
<br />check, made payable to the Owner, in an
<br />amount not less than five percent of the total
<br />bid (including all -alternates) as a guaranty
<br />that the bidder will enter into a contract with
<br />the Owner within 10 days after written notice
<br />of award, Bidders must be capable of
<br />providing a performance bond for 100 percent
<br />of the contract amount.
<br />11. No- bid may be withdrawn after the
<br />scheduled bid closing time for a period of sixty
<br />days.
<br />.12. The Owner reserves the right to reject
<br />any or all bids, to waive formalities and
<br />irregularities, and to re -advertise for bids, and
<br />may elect to award the contract for this work
<br />to the bidder whose proposal is considered.
