June 6, 2003 <br />PLANNED DEVELOPMENT TOUR <br />A tour of various subdivisions was taken on Friday, June 6, 2003, on a County trolley. <br />The tour began at 8:30 a.m. and was attended by: County Commission Chairman Kenneth R. <br />Macht, Vice Chair Caroline D. Ginn, Commissioners Thomas S. Lowther and Arthur R. <br />Neuberger, as well as Planning and Zoning Commission Vice Chair Donna Keys and Committee <br />Members Leland Gibbs, George Gross, George Hamner, Norman Hensing and Gene Winne. <br />Also present were County Administrator James Chandler; County Attorney William G. <br />Collins II; Deputy Clerk Patricia "PJ" Jones, Community Development Director Bob Keating, <br />Planning Director Stan Boling, and Press Journal Reporters Henry Stephens and Kelly Anderson <br />and Press Journal Photographer - <br />Everyone met in the east parking lot of the County Administration Building at 1840 25th <br />Street, Vero Beach, and boarded the trolley in preparation for the tour at 8:30 a.m. <br />County Attorney Will Collins gave a brief presentation regarding Sunshine Law <br />requirements. <br />Planning Director Stan Boling then gave a brief statement regarding the purpose and <br />goals of the tour and the tour departed the parking lot at 8:45 a.m. <br />The tour visited the projects listed on the attached Itinerary in that order and Director <br />Boling announced the year the project was approved and developed along with features such as <br />lot sizes, setbacks, recreation, open space and stormwater collection. <br />Directors Boling and Keating also responded to questioning from the tour group. <br />Planning Director Boling requested that each commissioner and committee member <br />complete the evaluation sheets regarding each PD visited and return the completed forms to his <br />JUNE 6, 2003 <br />
