RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR OR REJECTING PER DIEM <br />COMPENSATION FOR VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD MEMBERS <br />(Clerk's Note: Administrator Baird apologized to the Indian River Neighborhood <br />Association (IRNA) for comments he made on the Piper issue that might have been offensive.) <br />On Motion by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />Resolution 2007-074, rejecting statutory per diem <br />compensation for the 2007 Value Adjustment Board <br />members. <br />13. AUTHORIZATION TO CHALLENGE PENDING FELLSMERE <br />ANNEXATIONS <br />Chairman Wheeler asked Director Keating to provide an update on what has <br />occurred so far, and where we are on the Interlocal agreement. Director Keating reported that a <br />few weeks ago the City of Fellsmere passed an initiating resolution, pursuant to Chapter 171 of the <br />Florida Statutes that allows local governments to initiate the process to do an Interlocal Service <br />Boundary Agreement. He explained that that type of agreement is focused on identifying future <br />annexation areas for municipalities, and identifying how and who would provide the services in <br />those areas. The County subsequently passed a responding resolution that agreed with Fellsmere's <br />initiating resolution, putting some additional issues on the table, and actually expanded the <br />July 10, 2007 36 <br />
