CONSIDERATION OF AN APPLICA TION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC <br />CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY FOR A CLASS El CERTIFICATE FOR <br />CONSULATE HEALTH CARE OF VERO BEACH <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Brian Burkeen, Assistant Chief, Fire Rescue, through a recap of the memorandum <br />of June 16, 2008, provided background history on Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach's <br />request to provide Wheelchair services to transport its residents. He then presented staff's <br />recommendation that Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach be granted a Class E1 Certificate of <br />Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN). <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. Seeing no one, the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Davis, the Board unanimously <br />approved that a class "El" Certificate be issued to <br />Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach, to be effective from <br />July 15, 2008, and expiring July 15, 2010, as <br />recommended in the memorandum of June 16, 2008. <br />July 15, 2008 21 <br />
