Tue <br />19.' 1930. <br />.At a meeting of the Board of county Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />begun and held at the office of the Clerk of 4ircuit Oourt, at Vero Beach, on Tuesday <br />August 19, 1930, the following members of said 'Board were present; .Albert Helseth, Chai <br />man, J. D. Yongue, J. J. P. Hamilton, J. 17. LaBruce and John H. Atkinsl The following <br />proceedings were had. <br />Minutes o$ the meeting held on .August 5, 1930, were read and approved upon moti <br />duly made and carried. <br />A road petion was filed in the following words and figures; <br />ROAD PETI^1ION. <br />Mate of Florida., <br />County of Indian River, <br />TO THE H0NORABIE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SAID COUNTY: <br />Gentlemens <br />We the undersigned, citizens of the County of Indian River, State of Florida, <br />respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be <br />maid out as follows, to -wits commencing at <br />The North -'fest corner of the North4ast One-quarter. of the <br />South-east One-quarter,,,Section Twelve (12); Township Thirty-three <br />(3 3) East; Range Thi. rty nifie .(39)' South. Thence east along said <br />line a distance of one-quarter mile. <br />Said Road right-of-way to be not less than Fifty (50) feet in width. <br />vie therefore petition you honorable body to cause to be laid out .and opened a <br />County Road as above described, and we, the owners of the land through which said,Road <br />is sought to be laid out, in consideration of the sum of one dollar to us each and <br />severally in hand paid by the said County ofkuLi�_&51the reciept vf.ewhidh is hereby <br />acknowledged, hereby agree to give the right-of-way through our lands, as shown by the <br />plat accompanying this petition, anti relinquish all claims for damage by reason thereof, <br />(Signed by 26 petitioners) <br />It was ordered that the petition be accepted and D. L. Isishery A. R. Reams <br />and Jessee Grice, be appointed a committee to view, mark and ley oftt said road and make <br />report to this Board. <br />A petition requesting establishment of a public road was filed in the foll <br />words and figures; "TO THE HONORABIlE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER <br />FLORIDA. We the undersigned respectfully ask thatnyou level down the ditch bank le <br />from the ditch at Colored Cemetery just North of Gifford, leading out gest for a dis <br />of mile, which will enable us to haul our produce out over the north Gifford Road." <br />( Signed by 9 petitioners) <br />Upon motion duly made and carried it was ordered that said petition bebgrani <br />11 <br />and the road opened., <br />A petition was filed the same being in the following words and figures; 'ATO <br />TI -E HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIWIOXERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. We the <br />undersigned petitioners respectfully ask that you place a surface of marl, rock or some <br />kind of dressing on the road leading from the Dixie Highway to the Colered Cemetery ju <br />North of Gifford, to the ditch which said ditch is located at the said Cemetery." (Si, <br />by 43 petitioners). Upon motion duly made and carried it was ordered that the County <br />Engineer make inspection of said location and make report thereon to this Board. <br />Bond of E.
