INSURANCE RENEWALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 10/01/07 - 09/30/08 <br />Human Resources Director James Sexton and Mackie Branham, from Crown <br />Consulting Group, and the County Insurance Broker, presented plan changes. Instead of the <br />County incurring what could be a 9.7% increase, they proposed the following plan changes: <br />Major Medical — Deductible (Annual) <br />Major Medical — Out -of -Pocket (Annual) <br />From $300 to $400 <br />From $2,000 co-insurance to $3,000 <br />co-insurance <br />Prescription Drugs — Co -payments <br />Current - $10 (Generic Drugs) $25 (Brand <br />Name Drugs) $40 (Non -Formulary) <br />Change — Apply the Brand name co -pay plus <br />the difference in cost between the brand name <br />drug and the generic equivalent drug when <br />either the prescriber or the member desires the <br />brand name and is not willing to accept the <br />generic equivalent. <br />Current dependent coverage $202.50 per month <br />Increase $15.00 to $217.50 per month <br />It was a CONSENSUS not to change the Prescription <br />Drugs co -payments. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />the plan changes without the prescription drug changes, and <br />authorized the County Administrator to increase the <br />employee dependent premium to $217.50 per month, and to <br />July 17, 2007 26 <br />
