Assistant Public Works Director Chris Mora presented this item to the Board <br />explaining that modern roundabouts are different from the old roundabouts, because a vehicle <br />would have to yield prior to entering the roundabout. He requested the Board approve the list on <br />page 224 of the backup, to allow staff to move forward. <br />Administrator Baird said they would bring this item back to the Board with a cost <br />factor for on each design. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis, SECONDED by <br />Chairman Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />Alternative No. 1, staff analysis, and authorized staff to <br />proceed with roundabout design and construction as <br />funding becomes available, as recommended in the <br />memorandum of July 2, 2007. <br />11.I.4 WORK ORDER #4, SECTOR 3 DESIGN & PERMITTING - <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES COASTAL TECHNOLOGY <br />CORPORATION <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner O'Bryan, the Board unanimously approved <br />Work Order #4 to the Professional Services Contract with <br />Coastal Technology Corporation, as recommended in the <br />memorandum of June 27, 2007. Currently, staff is <br />exploring project cost sharing possibilities with the Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). <br />However, through FDEP grant agreement 071R1, pending <br />Board approval, the State will cost share $550,000 at a <br />July 17, 2007 29 <br />
