July 18, 2007 <br />BUDGET WORKSHOP OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 to <br />conduct a Budget Workshop. Present were Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chair Sandra S. <br />Bowden, Commissioners Wesley S. Davis, Joseph E. Flescher and Peter D. O'Bryan. Also <br />present were County Administrator Joseph A. Baird, Management & Budget Director Jason E. <br />Brown, County Attorney William G. Collins II, and Deputy Clerk Athena Adams. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Wheeler called the workshop to order at 9:01 a.m. <br />INVOCATION <br />Reverend Tom Harris, First Presbyterian Church, delivered the Invocation. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairman Wheeler led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />GENERAL OVERVIEW - JOSEPH A. BAIRD, COUNTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />Administrator Baird presented the 2007-2008 proposed Budget of $432,031,652, showing <br />a decrease of about $68,339,954 or 13.7%.
