PLANNING DIRECTOR REVER NEXT DISCUSSED THE ROAD CONSTRUC- <br />TION PROPOSED BY MRS. HELEN HANSON FOR 80TH COURT AND 81ST AVENUE <br />IN THE ROSELAND AREA. HE NOTED THAT REGULATIONS REQUIRE THAT WHEN <br />YOU ARE CONSTRUCTING ROADS, CERTAIN PLANS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR <br />APPROVAL. MRS. HANSON HAS COMPLIED WITH THIS REQUIREMENT AND NOW <br />NEEDS APPROVAL OF THE PLAN SO THAT SHE MAY MOVE AHEAD WITH CONSTRUC- <br />TION. MR. REVER COMMENTED THAT THE SIZE.OF THE CULVERT NEEDED <br />SHOULD BE INDICATED ON THE PLAN. HE NOTED THAT THE PROPOSED ROADS <br />WILL MEET COUNTY SPECIFICATIONS EXCEPT THAT THEY WILL NOT BE PAVED: <br />THERE ARE NO PAVED ROADS IN THIS AREA. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED THE ATTORNEY IF THE BOARD SHOULD <br />APPROVE THESE PLANS, AND ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THE BOARD IS MAKING <br />A DECISION THAT THE ROADS DON T HAVE TO BE PAVED,AND BY ALLOWING <br />MRS, HANSON TO CONSTRUCT THEM IN AN UNIMPROVED CONDITION, HE BELIEVED <br />THE COUNTY WOULD BE ACCEPTING THEM FOR. MAINTENANCE. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE NOTED THAT THESE ARE ROADS THAT HAVE <br />BEEN PLANNED, BUT HAVE NEVER BEEN CUT IN AND OPENED, AND IT IS THE <br />PEOPLE S RESPONSIBILITY TO OPEN THEM_._.___ - <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT FELT WE HAD TURNED SOMEONE DOWN ON THIS <br />SAME BASIS, BUT ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS EXPLAINED THAT WE DID MAKE <br />SOME PEOPLE PAVE ROADS BECAUSE THEY WERE IN A NEW SUBDIVISION WHERE <br />THE ROADS WERE PAVED. THE ROAD LEADING UP TO THOSE PROPOSED BY <br />MRS. HANSON IS A GRADED ROAD. HE CONTINUED THAT HE HAD A GOOD <br />DEAL OF DISCUSSION WITH MRS. HANSON AND HAD INFORMED HER THAT SHE <br />HAD TO CONSTRUCT BOTH ROADS AND CONNECT THEM UP: SHE COULD NOT JUST <br />BUILD A PORTION OF THE ROAD TO HER LOT AND STOP. HE FURTHER NOTED <br />THAT HE HAS A RENDERING WITH THE CULVERT SIZE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE PLANS SUBMITTED BY MRS. <br />HELEN HANSON FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION FOR 80TH COURT AND 81ST AVENUE <br />IN THE ROSELAND AREA. <br />91 <br />
