<br />WALKER BY THE CLERK OF CIRCUIT COURT AS REQUIRED BY FLORIDA STATUTE
<br />125.661 AND A COPY OF SAID NOTICE IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE
<br />CLERK.
<br />PLANNING DIRECTOR REVER INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE SUBJECT
<br />PROPERTY, WHICH IS CURRENTLY ZONED AGRICULTURAL AND IS A CITRUS GROVE,
<br />CONSISTS OF 49 ACRES AND IS HIGHLY IRREGULAR IN SHAPE, FRONTING 351'
<br />ALONG WALKER AVENUE, 602' SOUTH OF WALKER AVENUE ALONG 58TH AVENUE,
<br />AND APPROXIMATELY 158` ON ROUTE 60. SURROUNDING LAND USES INCLUDE
<br />RIVERA ESTATES TO THE EAST, SOME RESIDENCES TO THE NORTH ALONG
<br />WALKER AVENUE, AND WHISTLEWOOD SUBDIVISION ON THE SOUTH AND WEST, THE
<br />REMAINDER OF THE SURROUNDING PROPERTY BEING IN GROVES. MR. REVER
<br />CONTINUED THAT THE BOUNDARIES POSED SOME CONCERN TO THE STAFF, AND
<br />THEY DID NOT BELIEVE R-2 WOULD BE MOST COMPATIBLE TO THE ADJOINING
<br />ZONES. THEIR RECOMMENDATION WAS THAT THE AREA PROPOSED FOR R-2 BE
<br />CHANGED TO R -2B, AND THIS WAS AGREED TO BY THE APPLICANT. THEY ALSO
<br />PROPOSED THAT THE APPROXIMATE NORTHERN HALF OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY
<br />BE REZONED TO R-1, WHICH WOULD ALIGN IT MORE WITH THE EXISTING R-1
<br />IN THE SURROUNDING AREA. MR. REVER STATED THAT IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT
<br />TO HIS ATTENTION THAT THE PROPERTY OWNERS TO THE WEST AND TO THE
