Director Boling noted that special <br />exception criteria have all been met, and stated that P&Z and County staff recommended Board <br />approval of this item. <br />Commissioner O'Bryan made inquiries regarding the maximum number of children <br />permitted in the day care facility, and about the traffic and parking situation. Director Boling <br />declared that the state regulated the maximum number of children who were allowed in the <br />daycare (37), and stated that no traffic/parking improvements would be necessary to accommodate <br />the daycare facility. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. <br />There were no additional speakers, and the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by <br />Chairman Wheeler, by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Davis <br />absent), the Board unanimously found that, in conjunction <br />with the recommended conditions: (1) it is empowered <br />under the provisions of Chapter 971 to review the special <br />exception use applied for; (2) the granting of the special <br />exception use will not adversely affect the public interest; <br />and (3) the application satisfies the general and specific <br />criteria required for special exception approval. <br />The Board granted special exception approval for the <br />proposed daycare use, as recommended in the <br />memorandum of July 17, 2007. <br />July 24, 2007 26 <br />
