<br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowden, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously granted <br />final plat approval for The Falls at Grand Harbor (Plat 29), <br />as recommended in the memorandum of August 8, 2005. <br /> <br />7.I. SVB,LLC–FPA <br />UNRISE ERO EACH INAL LAT PPROVAL FOR A <br />SKS–C <br />UBDIVISION TO BE NOWN AS UNRISE ONTRACT FOR <br />CSI <br />ONSTRUCTION AND IDEWALK MPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Bowden used the projector to illustrate a canopy tree (copy on file) <br />that had been planted in a subdivision and questioned the canopy tree policy. She stressed the <br />canopy trees and shrubbery should be quality and appropriate. <br /> <br />Planning Director Stan Boling explained that there are still subdivisions not under <br />the new requirements under the pending ordinance and those subdivisions can still adhere to the <br />old guidelines; which had less strict requirements on canopy trees and shrubs. <br /> <br />Commissioner Davis stated that the landscaping in the illustration used is no <br />longer allowed because of the pending ordinance doctrine and unfortunately there will be some <br />time between the two requirements that will allow lower quality landscaping for some <br />subdivisions. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the existing problems with the mold, muck, and odor of <br />drainage ponds. Community Development Director Bob Keating stated that on September 6, <br />2005 staff would come to the Board with changes to Chapter 930, which is the stormwater <br />August 16, 2005 6 <br /> <br />
