Work Authorization Directive No. 2005-011 authorizing <br />payment to The Danella Companies of up to $21,186.75, <br />as recommended in the memorandum of August 3, 2005. <br /> <br />13.E. COMMISSIONER GARY WHEELER – DAVID GUNTER’S <br />PRESENTATION REGARDING CITRUS CANKER <br /> <br />Commissioner Wheeler referenced a letter the Board received from David Gunter <br />earlier in the week regarding citrus canker. <br /> <br />nd <br />David Gunter <br />, 5280 22 Street, Chairman of the Indian River Soil and Water <br />Conservation District, explained that the protocols for the eradication of the canker problem call <br />for the infected sites to be ditched and the area to be leveled. He stressed that this could have an <br />adverse effect on the Indian River Lagoon and suggested lobbying the agencies involved with the <br />eradication effort to see if a modification to the protocols could be made. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding a possible candidate for the Conservation District <br />Coordinator position and other adverse effects if the areas are leveled. <br /> <br /> <br />14.A.
