IRCCDDB <br />NDIAN IVER OUNTY OMMUNITY EVELOPMENT IRECTOR OB <br />K <br />EATING <br /> <br />Director Keating used a PowerPoint presentation (copy on file) to illustrate the <br />origin, breakdown, issues, and the different categories Indian River County uses for Impact Fees. <br />He reported that Indian River County uses only the minimum six cent gas tax and is considering <br />adding an additional six cents in the future. <br /> <br />MCACAJS <br />ARTIN OUNTY SSISTANT OUNTY DMINISTRATOR IM HERMAN <br /> <br />Jim Sherman <br />Assistant County Administrator used a PowerPoint presentation <br />(copy on file) to explain the differences in Martin and Indian River County impact fees. He <br />discussed the history, types of accounts, exemptions for low-income housing, review period, <br />categories, calculations, and the requirements for impact fees. <br /> <br />Lee Weberman <br />Martin County Chairman affirmed that Martin County does <br />impose the full twelve-cent gas tax and still has trouble keeping up service levels. They review <br />the impact fees every two years and they plan to form a standing committee of citizens that can <br />review them, which could avoid a negative response from local builders and other associations. <br /> <br />6.
