The Board continued to seek clarification and voice their concerns regarding the property <br />in dispute. <br />Although Commissioners Wheeler and Davis wanted to approve the contract, <br />Administrator Baird advised the Board to wait until staff could bring it back for approval. <br />Peter Robinson, Vice President of Laurel Homes, believed it would be in the County's <br />best interest to deal fairly with all landowners, and to honor the $34,200 contract with Mr. <br />McKellar. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and by a vote <br />of 2-3 (Commissioners O'Bryan, Solari, and Flescher <br />opposed), the MOTION FAILED. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wheeler, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Solari, for staff to bring <br />the contract back to the Board at the September 8, 2009 <br />Board of County Commission Meeting. <br />Responding to the Board, Attorney DeBraal confirmed the contract dollar amount was <br />$34,200, and that the contract had not been signed by anyone at the County, only Mr. and Mrs. <br />McKellar. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />10.B.2.
