<br />Commissioner Wheeler objected to the compensation package because he <br />understood this proposal was only to review the salary increase. The proposal included a <br />$13,000 annual contribution to a retirement fund and paying for all dependent health <br />coverage. He felt the proposed contract cost would be exorbitant and is asking too much. . <br />Discussion ensued whereby Chairman Lowther stated that the proposed <br />amendments are in line with surrounding county administrator’s compensation packages. <br />He pointed out that other counties have also contacted Mr. Baird trying to recruit him. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Neuberger, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowden, by a 4-1 <br />vote, Commissioner Wheeler opposed, the Board <br />approved the amendment, as recommended in the <br />memorandum of August 17, 2005. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br /> <br />7.E.
