IT WAS VOTED ON AND <br />CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS SUGGESTED THE AGREEMENT FOR MAINTENANCE <br />OF THE FELLSMERE GRADE WITH OSCEOLA COUNTY BE ADDED TO THE AGENDA. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy SUGGESTED ADDING AN ITEM CONCERNING THE <br />SHERIFFS APPLICATION FOR THE STATE REVENUE SHARING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHAIRMAN <br />ON THE ANNUAL STATE REVENUE SHARING APPLICATION, WHICH MUST BE PREPARED <br />BY THE SHERIFF. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED ADDING ALL THE PREVIOUSLY <br />MENTIONED ITEMS TO TODAY IS AGENDA. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS NEXT DISCUSSED AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CHAIRMAN <br />TO SIGN TAX ANTICIPATION NOTES IN THE AMOUNT OF $450,000. HE CONTINUED <br />THAT THE PROCEEDS OF THE NOTES WOULD BE REINVESTED ON A SHORT TERM <br />BASIS; THIS MONEY TO BE USED FOR THE PURCHASE OF APPROXIMATELY 40 ACRES <br />OF LAND, AND THE TEST WELL PROGRAM FOR THE SOUTH COUNTY WATER TAXING <br />DISTRICT. THE ATTORNEY STATED IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT IT WILL BE RE— <br />FINANCED THE LATTER PART OF THIS YEAR BY ISSUING BOND ANTICIPATION <br />NOTES. HE ADDED THAT THIS IS A TAX ANTICIPATION NOTE WHERE THE <br />COMMISSIONER IS PLEDGING AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1980-81 TO <br />SECURE THE TAX ANTICIPATION NOTE. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS REPORTED THAT HE HAD <br />MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH FINANCE OFFICER BARTON TO INVEST THE FUNDS <br />IMMEDIATELY. THE CURRENT RATE ON THE TAX ANTICIPATION NOTES IS 6-3/4% <br />AND THE FUNDS WILL BE INVESTED AT APPROXIMATELY 7-3/4%. <br />ON MOTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION 80-58 AUTHORIZING THE <br />CHAIRMAN TO IMMEDIATELY SIGN THE TAX ANTICIPATION NOTES IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $450,000, IN ORDER TO TAKE IT TO THE BANK. <br />3 <br />,JUN 18 1980 <br />BOOK 4c7.
