C PRESENTATION BYJULIANNE R. PRICE, STATEWIDE PACE <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH COORDINATOR <br />Julianne Price, Statewide "Protocol for Assessing Community Excellence" <br />(PACE) Coordinator for the State's Department of Health, through a PowerPoint presentation <br />entitled "Setting the PACE: Working Together to Solve Community Issues", highlighted one of <br />the projects they undertook in communities like Wabasso, and especially the assistance given to <br />Freeman Wiggs who was living out of his car. <br />Ms. Price announced that they have started a new PACE Committee in Fellsmere <br />with an "Extreme Challenge" for Two Homes in One Day, which was actually accomplished. She <br />acknowledged those involved in the project, especially Dennis Witherow, the President of Regatta <br />Construction, the company that built the two houses in one day. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. PUBLIC WORKSHOP OF JUNE 21, 2007 - ALTERNATIVE WATER <br />SUPPLY <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions, deletions or corrections to the <br />Minutes of the Public Workshop of June 21, 2007. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chair Bowden, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Minutes of the Public Workshop on Alternative Water <br />Supply of June 21, 2007, as written and distributed. <br />September 11, 2007 3 <br />
