INDIANRIVER COUNTY UTILITYADVISORY COMMITTEE (UAC) <br />RECOMMENDATION FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMMISSION AND CITY <br />WATER AND SEWER SERVICE <br />(Clerk's Note: Chairman Davis's Emergency Item addition, Consolidation of Water and <br />Sewer Services, was addressed under this Item) <br />Utilities Director Erik Olson recapped his Memorandum dated September 8, 2009, <br />pointing out that the two Resolutions are the functional equivalent of an Interlocal Agreement, <br />and that each designates the City of Vero Beach to serve the residents of the South Barrier Island <br />for water and wastewater service. He said that each Agreement is for a period of 30 years (will <br />expire in 2017), that in order for the Agreements to be renewed notice must be given no less than <br />5 years prior to the expiration, and that each party would be obligated to make their intentions <br />known by 2012. Director Olson recalled that Utility Advisor Dr. Stephen Faherty had <br />16 <br />September 15, 2009 <br />
