The purpose is to realign the Urban <br />Service Area to include the subject property, and to rezone 19.2 acres from A-1, Agriculture, to IL, <br />Light Industrial. In this case, there is a significant change in circumstances, and staff feels it is <br />significant enough to warrant an amendment. The Planning and Zoning Commission had no <br />affirmative vote to approve or deny this request. He recapped the facts surrounding this property <br />using a PowerPoint presentation (copy on file). <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Bob Johnson, <br /> Coral Wind Subdivision, questioned if Ocean Spray packinghouse was <br />shutdown, and inquired what the status was of Mr. and Mrs. Livingston’s corridor plan with all of <br />these changes. Director Keating responded that they have implemented all other corridor roads <br />that address major roads and applied SR 60 corridor plan standards. <br /> <br />Bruce Barkett, Esq <br />. representing the applicant Indian River Exchange Packers, pointed out <br />he was there to answer any questions.
