PUBLIC DISCUSSION ITEM – KAREN LETTS – REQUEST <br />FOR REMOVAL OF DANGEROUS DOG LABEL IMPOSED <br />ON HER DOGS, MAX AND HANNAH <br /> <br />Karen Letts <br /> appeared before the Board to request they remove the “dangerous dog” <br />label placed on her two dogs. She asked the Board to review a letter from professional Amy <br />Robinson saying her dogs were normal. She listed the events since June that led up to her request. <br />She stated that her dogs are neither dangerous nor vicious. <br />County Attorney Collins pointed out that the Commissioners do not have the <br />authority to do what she requested. He recited the history of the incident and what had transpired <br />since and noted that all actions were handled according to the law. The Court had jurisdiction in <br />her case and her 10-day appeal period has expired. She is now barred from going back to court. <br />September 21, 2004 <br />9 <br /> <br />
