AUG 13 1980 BOOK :44 PALE 241 <br />880 Continental Bank Building <br />Englewood, Colorado 80110 <br />j®na In ERCAKE.,- <br />303/761-3184 <br />June 16, 1980 <br />County Commissioners <br />Indian River County <br />Court House <br />Room 114 <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Attention : Mr. Bob Donlon <br />Gentlemen: <br />As per your request and as a follow-up to our letter of <br />May 19,.-1980, please find enclosed additional information to <br />support our request that the County assign the cable televi- <br />sion permit held by Indian River Cablevision, Inc. to Cable <br />TV Fund VIII -A, Jones Intercable, Inc.,General Partner. <br />.(1) A transfer resolution is enclosed leaving the dates <br />Blank. <br />(.2) Audited financial statements on Jones Intercable, Inc. <br />and an unaudited balance sheet on Fund VIII -A are en- <br />closed. <br />(3) A list of all company cable system operations is en- <br />closed with our other Florida systems shown first. <br />(4) An annual report to shareholders on Jones Intercable, <br />Inc. and a copy of the Partnership Prospectus, which <br />has been registered with the Securities and Exchange <br />Commission are enclosed. Please refer to pages 66 and <br />67 of the Prospectus for information about the General <br />Partner. <br />(5) A map is enclosed outlining the area currently being <br />served by the system in Indian River County. <br />(6) It is our intention to expand into additional areas <br />where the density of homes is currently feasible and <br />in the future as areas develop. <br />(7) We intend to upgrade the technical aspects of the <br />system and have already ordered new antennas to im- <br />prove reception on Channel 2 in particular. We -also <br />intend to change some of the duplicating channels to <br />additional satellite received services in order to pro- <br />ivde better quality and more variety in programming <br />offered our customers. <br />We also intend to provide fast, reliable and courteous <br />response to customer complaints about service. <br />I am enclosing some letters of reference from other <br />franchising authorities for your information. <br />(8) Brevard County agreed to our request to assign this <br />permit at this meeting of June 5, 1980. <br />We respectfully request your prompt attention to this assignment <br />request. <br />Sincerely, <br />L- <br />Ltv <br />ROBERT J.'
