MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wheeler, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Solari, to approve Work <br />Order No. 7 to the Agreement with Coastal Technology <br />Corporation, Inc. (CTC). <br />Commissioner O'Bryan stressed the urgency of this project to Mr. Walther, President of <br />Coastal Technology Corporation, Inc. (CTC). <br />Director Mora announced that this was to be an additional Work Order to Coastal <br />Technology Corporation, Inc. (CTC) to include Stormwater and Underground, LLC (SUI), aka <br />the Brian Davis mine, in the application as an alternate source. He said staff had requested a cost <br />estimate from Coastal Technology to include the additional source at the time when they thought <br />there was a chance that the SUI mine could be used. <br />Michael Walther, President of Coastal Technology Corporation, Inc. (CTC), <br />acknowledged the high priority of the project and divulged that CTC is presently and actively <br />working on it. He revealed that CTC had already gone through the initial pass on the design <br />alternatives, using the sand mine sources as proposed by Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. <br />Attorney Collins reported that the proposal submitted by Ranger Construction did not <br />include the SUI sand mine as a source. <br />Following a brief discussion regarding the addition of another sand source, and the cost <br />of additional fees ($21,030) to add this source to the permit modification, Commissioner <br />33 <br />September 22, 2009 <br />
