<br />Commissioner Wheeler questioned changes made in Sections 5 and 10 regarding <br />irrigation. He would like to invite St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) <br />representatives for an update on water shortages, native plants, and additional irrigation. <br /> <br />Director Boling explained there are some standards for irrigation in Chapter 926. <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be <br />heard regarding this matter. <br /> <br />Joseph Paladin <br />, Chairman of the Growth Awareness Committee, stated his <br />committee stands behind all of the ordinances for this public hearing. <br /> <br />David Cox <br />, Perriwinkle Drive, commented that the GAC along with other various <br />committees have worked hard on these amendments and the Board will see revisions to Chapter <br />926 coming forward at a later date. <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously adopted <br />(by a 4-0 vote Chairman Lowther absent) Ordinance 2005- <br />030 concerning amendments to land development <br />regulations (LDRs); providing findings; providing for <br />amendments to Chapter 911, Zoning, by creating Section <br />911.07(8) to require single-family perimeter buffers; and <br />amending urban service area boundary buffer <br />requirements in Section 911.04(3)(C)5 to provide a special <br />September 6, 2005 11 <br /> <br />
