PRESENT WERE WILLARD W. SIEBERT, JR., CHAIRMAN; <br />ALMA LEE Loy, VICE CHAIRMAN; WILLIAM C. WODTKE, JR.; R. DON DEESON; <br />AND PATRICK B. LYONS. ALSO PRESENT WERE NEIL NELSON, ASSISTANT <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR; L. S. "TOMMY" THOMAS, INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDI- <br />NATOR; GEORGE G. COLLINS, SJR., ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS; JEFFREY BARTON, FINANCE OFFICER; AND VIRGINIA HARGREAVES, <br />DEPUTY CLERK, <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCED THAT <br />IT WAS HELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF APPROVING THE PROPOSED BUDGETS OF THE <br />VARIOUS SPECIAL DISTRICTS, BUT INFORMED THE BOARD THAT BEFORE THESE <br />BUDGETS ARE TAKEN UP, THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR HAS AN <br />EMERGENCY MATTER THAT NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED. <br />GRANT APPLICATION COUNCIL ON AGING - RESOLUTION 80-83 <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS EXPLAINED THAT THIS <br />APPLICATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESENTED AT THE PREVIOUS MEETING ALONG <br />WITH THE GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND SHELTERED <br />WORKSHOP, BUT IT WAS INADVERTENTLY OVERLOOKED. THEY ARE APPLYING <br />FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT THAT IS TO BE DIVIDED BETWEEN THEM, AND EACH <br />GRANT IS FOR AN IDENTICAL AMOUNT. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LYONS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION 80-83 APPROVING A <br />GRANT APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR FUNDS <br />FOR THE COUNCIL ON AGING IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,146.50 AND AUTHORIZED <br />THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHAIRMAN. <br />AUG 141980 <br />BOOK 44 PA6t- 321 <br />
