Administrator Baird defended the budget cut, listing some of the major <br />institutions that have had their budgets decreased. He felt this matter should be procedurally <br />discussed at tomorrow's Budget Hearing. <br />Commissioner Flescher did not want to miss the window of opportunity to be <br />heard on this important matter; hence his reason for adding this to today's Agenda. He was <br />concerned that seven to eight (7-8) months of pool closure would be left in the balance. <br />Chairman Bowden recalled that in her experience there have never been changes <br />on the last day of budget. <br />Commissioners Wheeler and O'Bryan agreed that the matter needed to be <br />addressed at tomorrow's Budget Hearing. <br />Godfrey Gibson, 4136 57th Court, understood this is a tough year, and everyone <br />has to make adjustments, but believed they should all share the burden. He noted that Wabasso <br />is left open seven (7) days a week, while Gifford would be closed for eight (8) months.
