SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1980 <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, MET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON THE STEPS OF THE CITY HALL, 1053 <br />20TH PLACE, VERO BEACH, FLORIDA, ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1980, <br />AT 5:01 O'CLOCK P.M. PRESENT WERE WILLARD W. SIEBERT, .JR., CHAIRMAN; <br />ALMA LEE Loy, VICE CHAIRMAN; AND PATRICK B. LYONS. ABSENT WERE <br />WILLIAM C. WODTKE, JR., AND R. DON DEESON, WHO WERE OUT OF TOWN, <br />ALSO PRESENT WERE GEORGE G. COLLINS, JR., ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; JEFFREY BARTON, FINANCE OFFICER; AND VIRGINIA <br />HARGREAVES, DEPUTY CLERK. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCED THAT THERE WAS A QUORUM PRESENT <br />AND CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. HE EXPLAINED THAT THIS MEETING <br />WAS BEING HELD BECAUSE THE TRIM NOTICE SENT OUT BY THE PROPERTY <br />APPRAISER SPECIFIED SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 201 1980, AT 5:01 P.M. AS <br />THE DATE AND TIME SET FOR THE FIRST BUDGET HEARING OF THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS NOTED THAT BASICALLY THE NOTICE WAS <br />INCORRECT, AND THE BOARD IS MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CURING ANY <br />DEFECT THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT WISHED IT NOTED FOR THE RECORD THAT THERE <br />WAS NO MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC PRESENT, AND STATED THAT HE WOULD, <br />THEREFORE, ENTERTAIN A MOTION TO RECESS THE MEETING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, CHAIRMAN SIEBERT VOTED IN FAVOR, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY RECESSED <br />THE MEETING UNTIL 5:01 O'CLOCK P.M., THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1980, <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADOPTING THE MILLAGE FOR THE TENTATIVE BUDGET <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLE CHAIRMAN <br />Boa44 FA�S� <br />SEP 2 01980 <br />
