SEP 2 4 1990 9-24-80 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-1 nox 44 P,,GE 640 <br />WHEREAS, the creation of the SOUTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY'FIRE <br />DISTRICT was approved by the qualified voters in said District by <br />referendum vote on September 9, 1980; and <br />WHEREAS, the SOUTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT has been <br />legally established as a result of and upon certification of said <br />voter approval of same; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Vero Beach shall provide general admini- <br />stration services for the District for an initial period of five (5) <br />years, unless otherwise agreed to between the City and the District, <br />said administration services to include having custody of all public <br />funds belonging to and received by the District and depositing same; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the District must authorize the issuance and signing <br />of all warrants for the payment of money by the District. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the SOUTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />DISTRICT BOARD OF FIRE COM4IS'SIONERS that: <br />The City of Vero Beach shall have custody of all public funds <br />belonging to and received by the District and shall deposit said <br />funds in such depositories that meet the criteria established by the <br />Comptroller of Currency, State of Florida. <br />The District is empowered to issue warrants for the payment of <br />money and that all warrants for the payment of money by the District <br />for purposes other than investment shall be signed either by the <br />Chairman or Vice Chairman of the Board of.Fire Commissioners and <br />countersigned by either John V. Little, City Manager of the City of <br />Vero Beach or Thomas R.
