DEPRECIATION FOR AGE. <br />SHE NOTED THAT SHE LIVES IN ONE OF THE OLDER <br />SECTIONS OF THE BEACH; SHE HAS BEEN PAYING, TAXES FOR MANY YEARS, <br />AND IF THE TAXES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE USED IN THE AREA FROM WHICH <br />THEY ARE COLLECTED, SHE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY IN ALL THESE YEARS, <br />SHE DOESNIT HAVE STREET LIGHTS. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT COMMENTED THAT MRS. CONROY LIVES IN THE <br />CITY OF VERO BEACH AND WOULD HAVE TO TAKE HER QUESTION TO THE CITY. <br />MRS. CONROY EXPRESSED SURPRISE THAT SHE WAS NOT ADDRESSING <br />THE CITY COUNCIL AND THAT COUNTY COMMISSION WAS MEETING IN CITY HALL. <br />SHE BELIEVED SOME OF THE COUNTY MONEY COULD BE USED FOR LIGHTS, AND <br />STATED THAT SHE WOULD TALK TO THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ANNOUNCED THAT THE BOARD WOULD NOW VOTE <br />ON THE TENTATIVE MILLAGES AND THE TENTATIVE BUDGETS. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER Loy, TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS POINTED OUT THAT THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL <br />PUBLIC HEARING, BUT JUST AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PUBLIC TO BE HEARD. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS WITHDREW HIS MOTION AND COMMISSIONER Loy <br />WITHDREW HER SECOND. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THAT IN THE COUNTY BUDGET, THE <br />GENERAL FUND, TRANSPORTATION FUND AND THE OBLIGATION BOND ISSUE COULD <br />BE DEALT WITH IN ONE MOTION. <br />FINANCE OFFICER BARTON ANNOUNCED THE TENTATIVE MILLAGE FOR <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br />GENERAL FUND 3.30239 <br />TRANSPORTATION FUND 0.00001 <br />1959 GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />BOND ISSUE 0.04239 <br />TOTAL 3.34479 <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER DEESON TO APPROVE THE TENTATIVE MILLAGE FOR THE GENERAL FUND, <br />TRANSPORTATION FUND, AND 1959 GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ISSUE AS SET <br />OUT ABOVE. <br />29 , BOGK 4 PAGE 733OCT 2 i9�� <br />
