He reviewed the <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment process, provided history and description of each property, and <br />supplied the recommendations of staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. <br />Carolyn Corum, Dolores Street, Sebastian, supported the redesignation and rezoning. <br />There being no other speakers, the Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Wheeler, <br />SECONDED by Vice Chairman Solari, to approve the <br />proposed future land use Amendment and rezoning <br />request by adopting the Ordinances and directing staff to <br />submit the Amendment to the Department of Community <br />Affairs (DCA) for compliance review. <br />Director Keating addressed Commissioner Davis's concerns regarding the management <br />and public access to the Corrigan 460 Tract. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION, and the <br />Motion carried unanimously. The Board adopted: <br />(1) Ordinance 2010-004, amending the Future Land Use <br />Map by changing the land use designation for: (a) <br />approximately ± 27.97 acres, located at 9700 Water Vliet <br />Avenue Sebastian, from L-1, Low -Density Residential -1 <br />District (up to 3 units/acre), and C/1 Commercial / <br />Industrial District, to C-1, Conservation -1 District (0 <br />units/acre); and (b) approximately ± 37.48 acres, located <br />15 <br />March 23, 2010 <br />
