There was a brief discussion as to whether future Assistant County Administrators should <br />be under contract. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Solari, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Flescher, that in the <br />future, Assistant County Administrators shall be treated as <br />other County employees, except that they can be <br />terminated at will upon 60 days notice and will not be <br />entitled to severance benefits, and that the County <br />Administrator has no authority to offer individuals below <br />the position of Assistant County Administrator a contract <br />without Board approval. <br />Commissioners Davis and O'Bryan emphasized that this would allow parity among the <br />Deputy County Attorney, Assistant County Administrator, and Assistant County Attorney for <br />future hires. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />14.
