Proposed Ordinance Amending Section 300.02 (Prohibited hours of <br />sale, service and consumption) <br />(memorandum dated June 20, 2014) <br />(Legislative) <br />Proof of Publication Of Advertisement for Hearing is on File in the <br />Office of the Clerk to the Board <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold recalled the Board's discussion <br />at its June 3, 2014 County Commission meeting, about legislation <br />adopted by the City of Vero Beach on May 20, 2014, to extend the <br />hours that alcohol can be served from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., with <br />a sunset provision of June 15, 2015. He stated that pursuant to the <br />Board's direction at said meeting, he was returning with a draft <br />ordinance mirroring that of the City, with the same sunset <br />provision. <br />12:05 The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. <br />p.m. <br />Wanda Scott, 4306 26th Avenue, asked for clarification on what <br />areas of the County would be governed by the proposed <br />Ordinance. <br />Chairman O'Bryan provided clarification, and directed Attorney <br />Reingold to provide both Ms. Scott and the Sheriff with a copy of <br />the final Ordinance. <br />There were no additional speakers, and the Chairman closed the <br />Public Hearing. <br />12:08 ON MOTION by Commissioner Solari, SECONDED by <br />p.m. Commissioner Flescher, by a 4-1 vote (Commissioner Zorc <br />opposed), the Board adopted Ordinance 2014-013, amending <br />Section 300.02 (prohibited hours of sale, service and consumption) <br />of Chapter 300 (Alcoholic Beverages) of the Code of Indian River <br />Board of County Commission Minutes <br />July 1, 2014 Page 6 <br />108- <br />109 <br />110- <br />114 <br />
