resources for the children. She requested the park be opened to the public during the daytime, <br />and that staff review the policy. <br />Administrator Baird stated that he would review the issue. He said it was the Gifford <br />community who requested the installation of the fence, and conveyed that he would provide the <br />Board with a full report regarding this issue. <br />Kenneth Jackson reiterated Ms. McKenzie's concerns over the fenced park, as well as <br />the community leaders of Gifford. <br />Freddie Wolfork disclosed that the Progressive Civic League had requested the fence be <br />installed at the park to stop vandalism from motorcycles. He supported Ms. McKenzie's request <br />to allow children access to the fields. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the fencing at the park, the Gifford Progressive Civic <br />League and other contact groups, communication with the Gifford community, security services <br />at the park, the openness of the Commission, community leaders, and holding executive <br />meetings off -the -clock. <br />The Chairman called a break at 12:31 p.m. and reconvened the Meeting at 1:15 p.m., <br />with all members present. <br />10.
