ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Solari, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />payment in the amount of $546.94 to Florida Power and <br />Light Company (FPL) for provision of power to two (2) <br />well locations at the North County RO Plant, and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the two Underground <br />Distribution Facilities Installation Agreements (UDFIA) <br />with FPL, as recommended in the memorandum of August <br />6, 2010. <br />AGREEMENT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />12.J.2. SPOONBILL FLOATING VEGETATION MATS <br />Director of Utility Services Erik Olson recapped his memorandum dated August 9, 2010, <br />providing a brief background and the purpose of the Spoonbill Marsh project. He explained how <br />the floating specialized marine vegetation mats would satisfy the requirements of Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), and how they would enhance the effectiveness <br />of the removal of harmful levels of nutrients in the Lagoon. He asked the Board for approval to <br />move forward with a bidding process that would allow for the procurement of the specialized <br />mats. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />the bidding and procurement of floating marine vegetation <br />38 <br />August 17, 2010 <br />
