The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />Motion carried unanimously. The Board approved the <br />Memorandum of Understanding with MHC Countryside at <br />Vero Beach, LLC, as recommended in the memorandum <br />of July 27, 2010. <br />MEMORANDUM ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />12.J.4. WORK ORDER NO. 19 - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO KIMLEY-HORN <br />& ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR DEMONSTRATION OF 4 -LOG VIRUS TREATMENT <br />OF GROUND WATER RULE AT NORTH AND SOUTHRO WATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT AMENDMENT #1 <br />Director Olson reviewed the memorandum dated August 5, 2010, where he provided <br />background and analysis regarding the United States Environmental Protection Agency's <br />(USEPA) mandates that all water systems in the United States be able to demonstrate certain <br />types of treatment to eliminate viruses and pathogens within the water system, the process of <br />sampling, and/or combination of demonstrating that the water plants have the design capacity <br />that performs proficient treatment technology. He requested the Board approve Amendment No. <br />1 to Work Order No. 19, for follow up to FDEP 4 -log virus treatment request for additional <br />information, to Kimley-Horn, for an additional cost of $3,100.00. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Davis, <br />SECONDED by Vice Chairman Solari, to approve <br />Amendment No. 1 to Work Order No. 19 to Kimley-Horn <br />and Associates in the amount of $3,100.00, bringing the <br />Work Order total to $16,900.00. <br />40 <br />August 17, 2010 <br />
