Phelan <br />City Clerk <br />Subject: Purchase of new fire truck for North County Fire Districe <br />to be used and stationed at Sebastian Volunteer Fire Department <br />Dear Commissioners: <br />We have the opportunity to purchase a new 1980 Fire Truck at a reduced <br />price, and are requesting permission to be placed on the agenda for 5 <br />November, 1980. <br />The 1980 Chevrolet, 427 engine has the following equipment, which over <br />and above meets Fire Underwriter Specifications for Class A Pumper: <br />1000 gallon per minute pump <br />750 gallon tank <br />Emergency lights and siren <br />2 booster reels with 200 foot hose each <br />1 24 foot aluminum extension ladder <br />1 12 foot aluminum roof ladder <br />1 10 foot aluminum attic ladder <br />1 4 inch to 2-1/2 inch suction reducer <br />2 2-1/2 inch gated suction <br />1 CO2 50 pound fire extinguisher with bracket <br />1 Dry Chemical fire extinguisher with bracket <br />2 fire axes <br />2 10 foot lenghts suction hose <br />(Other hose and nozzles to be put on by Sebastian Volunteer Fire <br />Department), <br />Purchase Price: $50,350.00 <br />We are asking the Governing Board of the North County Fire District, <br />the Indian River County Commissioners to agree to make the yearly payments <br />until paid in full. <br />The purchase of this Fire Truck will help upgrade the equipment for <br />use in the North County Fire District. <br />Sincerel yours �' <br />G� 2` <br />Pat Flood, Jr. <br />Chairman, North County Fire District <br />Advisory Committee <br />
