ADDITION: PROPERTY APPRAISER MATTERS - INFORMATIONAL <br />ITEM BY CHAIRMAN O'BRYAN <br />Chairman O'Bryan provided information on the appeal process for residents who <br />disagree with the assessed value of their property on their TRIM (Truth in Millage) Notice. He <br />said the residents could discuss the assessment with the Property Appraiser, and if an agreement <br />is not reached (whether or not they continue negotiations with the Property Appraiser), they may <br />file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board to appeal the value before an independent <br />Special Magistrate. He conveyed that Bruce Barkett, Esquire, representing George Beutell, <br />Buildex, Inc., had requested that the hearings be postponed to a time when the entire Board could <br />hear the matter.
