Providing (First Resolution) 3/25/97(ENG)RES 1 .MAG\ktp <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99- 18 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN PAVING AND DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO 18"' AVENUE BETWEEN 1ST PLACE & <br />2T7D STREET, PROVIDING THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF <br />ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS, AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF <br />THE AREA SPECIFICALLY BENEFITTED. <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has been petitioned for Road <br />Paving and Drainage Improvement for 18th Avenue between 1" Place and 2nd Street. <br />WHEREAS, the construction of paving and drainage improvements by special <br />assessment funding is authorized by Chapter 206, Section 206.01 through 206.09, Indian River <br />County Code; and cost estimates and preliminary assessment rolls have been completed by the Public <br />Works Department; and the total estimated cost of the proposed paving and drainage improvements <br />is TWENTY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS and <br />SEVENTY SIX CENTS ($22,327.76); and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment provided hereunder shall, for any given record <br />owner of property within the area specially benefitted, be in an amount equal to that proportion of <br />seventy-five percent (75%) of the total cost of the project ($16,745.82) which the number of lineal <br />feet of road frontage owned by the given owner bears to the total number of lineal feet of road <br />frontage within the areas specially benefitted plus two percent (2%) of the property owners <br />assessment for collection fees and twenty-five percent (25%) of the total cost of the project <br />($5,581.94) will come from Petition Paving Account. Assessments are to be levied against all Tots <br />and lands adjoining and contiguous or bounding and abutting upon the improvements or specially <br />benefitted thereby and further designated by the assessment plat with respect to the special <br />assessments; and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment shall become due and payable at the Indian River <br />County Utility Services Department ninety (90) days after the final determination of the special <br />assessment pursuant to Section 206.08, Indian River County Code; and <br />A:19606 Res-Providing-magnvtxl 1 <br />
